- "I have waited for this day. Now you will face retribution for your crimes!"
- "They are many. Strike true."
- —Ulrik Alefheim and Wulfgar Eisengaard
Wulfgar Eisengaard was the Black Knight of Tes Pellaria and wielder of the Sword of Darkness. He had been forced to satisfy the sword's bloodlust by killing the mother of Ulrik Alefheim. He had to do this because the bandits who had threatened Ulrik's family had escaped before Wulfgar could strike them down, and his sword had to taste blood once it had been drawn. Wulfgar met Ulrik later in Myridia in 1003 AE and was eventually slain by the young man who was seeking revenge. Wulfgar had suffered through his life of bloodshed for hundreds of years and was free at last. However, the curse of the Black Knight turned Wulfgar's slayer, Ulrik, into the next Black Knight, and thus the cycle continued.
