- "During my time with the Triad I heard the dwarves tell tales of Khamûl, a monster that lurked somewhere in these mountains and ate dwarves or anyone who dared to enter the tunnels that were far away from the dwarven homes. Some said Khamûl was a giant spider which had many offspring, others said it was a rogue dwarf driven mad by Mardük. There were as many interpretations of this monster as there were dwarves. Of course those who had faced the monster had never returned to tell the others what it really looked like. The dwarves I talked to always said it was just a bedtime story to keep young dwarves in their homes and out of the tunnels which could collapse. However, some dwarves who had dared to venture to the unknown tunnels had never come back, and that made many dwarves wonder if the monster really existed."

Khamûl was a monster which resembled a mix of a centipede and a slug which terrorized the dwarves of Storvakor in the Third Age. A group led by Axikasha Keiran faced it in the tunnels of Glenfiddich Range during the Great War and eventually defeated it although it managed to poison Viirsa Yuriev before its demise.
