The Black Hunters are a group of mercenaries who were founded during the Great War to assist the Yamato Empire against the Grand Alliance. They have actively harried demons in Southern Yamato from their base of operations in Molson since the end of the Cataclysm and tend to work for the highest bidder which is presently the Grey Cult. The group consists of refugees, pirates, mercenaries and soldiers from both sides of the Great War and is led by Commander Yousei Kaizoku, an elf with a tangled past.
In the Fourth Age, their remnants would play a notable role in the efforts by Arthur ap Ygraine of New Molson to unify the Southeast Continent, first by rescuing the former from a coalition of local warlords opposed to his efforts and second by selling his father, Uther, a Hwacha which he then gave to his son to replicate.
