The Battle of Nedmar's Field was a large-scale battle during the Arawn Losstarot War. It was fought between a coalition consisting of Gordius Highwind's rebels and King Kagetsu I's Maar Sulais army and the Grand Alliance consisting of an alliance of free kingdoms led by King Agarwaen. It began when Arawn Losstarot kidnapped Kagetsu's wife Marya Aurelac de Maar Sul during the meeting of the Four Lords of the Poles on Nedmar's Field at the border of Verdane and Maar Sul and forced Kagetsu to send his army against the Alliance in exchange for Marya's safety.
The short but brutal battle inspired a bardic song which became known as "In Nedmar's Field" to honour the fallen.
